The WVSBDC developed Three-Step Jump Start to help walk you through the business development process.

Attend
Sign up for a business fundamentals workshop led by the WVSBDC. The workshop covers essential information and services such as where to start and what's in a business plan.

Step 3

Make an Appointment
Sit down with a WVSBDC business coach. The WVSBDC coach works with you one-on-one to provide the assistance you need. Coaches can also collaborate with other coaches in our statewide network to get the skills and industry expertise you need on your team.

WVSBDC business coaches are certified in areas such as capital access, managing federal contracts, innovation and technology. They work from bases in local communities and as part of a statewide network. Coaches partner with other coaches anywhere in the state to help business owners sustain and grow their companies.

Fundamentals Workshop

Whether you're thinking of starting a business or already have a year under your belt, the WVSBDC Business Fundamentals Workshop has valuable information for you. The workshop, led by WVSBDC, covers essential basics such as how to secure a business license, how to indentify and reach prospective customers and how and why to write a business plan. The booklets and worksheets you take away from the workshop will be handy reference tools as you grow your business.
