CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Small Business Development Center has added West Virginia native Lindsey Teets to its statewide network of business coaches.
Teets operates from the Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College WVSBDC Outreach Office, Moorefield. His office focuses on Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral, Pendleton and Tucker counties.
The WVSBDC statewide network helps new businesses to get off to a strong start and established businesses to succeed and grow. The network makes it possible for small business owners anywhere in the state to call on WVSBDC specialists certified in areas such as capital access, innovation/technology, exporting and federal contracts.
Before joining WVSBDC, Teets spent more than 11 years working in Savannah, Georgia, for Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. He served in various capacities from repairing and upgrading electrical systems to assisting in the development of the next generation of private jet.
In addition, Teets has experience as manager and as co-owner in agricultural enterprises.
He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia, and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communication from West Virginia University. He has extensive professional training in leadership, communications and Lean Six Sigma practices.
The WVSBDC is part of the West Virginia Development Office and creates economic impact through offering entrepreneurs and small businesses cost-effective business coaching and technical assistance. The WVSBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and is an Accredited Member of America’s SBDC network.
