CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WV SBDC) is pleased to welcome Bruce Harrison to its team of experienced business coaches. Harrison will be based at the WV SBDC’s Potomac Highlands Center in Keyser and serve entrepreneurs and small business owners across Grant, Hampshire, Hardy, Mineral, Pendleton and Tucker counties.

Originally from southern Virginia and now residing in Mineral County, Harrison is a former business owner with more than 20 years in the retail food industry. He is a Liberty University graduate and a U.S. Air Force veteran, who served eight years as an A-10 crew chief and weapons leader.
“I am aware of the challenges that small business owners face because I’ve dealt with them myself,” Harrison said. “I am here to help entrepreneurs gain clarity and direction. Small business success impacts every citizen of West Virginia, and this is the best way for me to make a positive difference. I am excited to begin this journey with the WV SBDC, and I am looking forward to working with those dedicated to growing the state’s economy.”
The WV SBDC employs business coaches statewide to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs in every stage of the business life cycle by providing technical assistance to help clients clarify goals, develop skills and acquire resources to operate a successful enterprise.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bruce to the WV SBDC team,” WV SBDC State Director Will Miller said. “His extensive experience as a small business owner is invaluable, and he will be a significant resource and support system for the entrepreneurs we serve.”
